Description:
San Juan Bautista Child Development Center (SJBCDC) has been providing innovative solutions to problems faced by working families for over 33 years.   The Center provides safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate childcare and has developed a sick care program that is a national model - the first of it's kind. The Golf Classic is an extension of the partnership between SJBCDC and the Read-2-Lead program.

The Golf Classic is the perfect beginning to a week of literacy-based events designed to empower student athletes to promote reading and participate in mentoring activities with local youth. Literacy is a legacy passed from parent to child, from generation to generation. Throughout the year, San José State University football players visit SJBCDC sites to read to children and participate in daily activities. These visits provide positive role models and a college connection to many youth. Your support is key to the continuation of these programs. Please join us in promoting literacy and enriching the lives of the children and families in our community.
